Quick summary

  • Tonari is licensed, not sold, to you for personal use on devices you own or control under the applicable platform rules.
  • You keep ownership of the memories, notes, photos, and other content you create in Tonari, and you give us a limited license to run the service.
  • If paid features are offered, billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple, Google, or the store provider you purchased through.
  • Jyuuroku, not Apple, is responsible for support, maintenance, and handling claims related to Tonari, subject to these terms and applicable law.

License and acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using Tonari, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Subject to your compliance with them, Jyuuroku grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tonari on devices you own or control, only as permitted by the usage rules of the App Store or other platform where you obtained the app. Tonari is licensed, not sold.

Eligibility and your responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in method and for activity that happens through your account. You agree not to use Tonari in violation of law, to attempt unauthorized access, to interfere with the service, to reverse engineer the app except where law cannot prohibit it, or to upload content you do not have the right to use. You also represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a resident of any country or person restricted by applicable export or sanctions laws.

Your content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you create in Tonari. You grant us a limited license to host, store, reproduce, sync, back up, transmit, display to you, and delete that content as needed to provide and improve the service. The Tonari app, its software, branding, and other materials are owned by Jyuuroku or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. If a third party claims Tonari infringes their intellectual property rights, Jyuuroku, not Apple, will be responsible for addressing that claim to the extent required by law.

Privacy and third-party services

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Some Tonari features rely on third-party services such as authentication, hosting, subscriptions, analytics, mapping, or crash reporting, and those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of those integrated services remains subject to any applicable third-party rules.

Purchases, subscriptions, and store terms

If Tonari offers paid features, purchases are processed by Apple, Google, or the store provider through which you subscribed. Their pricing, billing cycles, taxes, cancellation flows, and refund rules apply. We do not receive your full payment card details. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until canceled through your platform account settings unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Support, maintenance, and updates

Jyuuroku, not Apple, is responsible for providing maintenance and support for Tonari. We may release fixes, security patches, updates, or new versions, and some updates may be required for Tonari or certain features to continue working. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational, or product reasons.

Warranty disclaimer and product claims

Except to the extent a warranty cannot be excluded under applicable law, Tonari is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Jyuuroku, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims by you or a third party relating to Tonari or your possession and use of Tonari, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws.

Termination, liability, and Apple beneficiary rights

These Terms remain in effect until ended by you or Jyuuroku. Your license ends automatically if you breach these Terms, and you must stop using Tonari and delete applicable copies. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jyuuroku will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You may not export or re-export Tonari except as permitted by applicable law.
